Unusual engagement rings

People make some unusual engagement rings, such as: dandelions entwined, string cheese, rubber bands, garbage bag ties, and bubble gum machine prize. Seriously though, there are many people who are looking for engagement rings that are not standard like the Tiffanys solitaire.

Unusual engagement rings can be thought of in at least two ways:

One refers to the design.

A second would refer to the meaning that the design has for a person.

An example would be an engagement ring that expresses a couple’s Christian faith. In the first category people are interested in unusual design and prefer to have something that no one else has. The best way to achieve this is for them to design their own. Here the emphasis is simply aesthetic. The form or style appeals to them but, they may not know why, other than it looks good on their hand.

When the unusual refers to the meaning the design has for them, then its individuality is less important. The most common theme here is reference to religious values. Here again the person can either design a ring with a view to its meaning, or they can select a preexisting style because that particular style speaks to them meaningfully.
