Bezel  engagement  rings

Bezel  engagement  rings are  an excellent and popular setting choice for men’s  wedding or anniversary rings.  It is a very secure way to set a gemstone and  is why men often choose it for their wedding rings which hold a diamond, or gemstone.

When purchasing a gemstone with nice color saturation a bezel set can prevent it from displaying its natural beauty.

Bezel set engagement rings  are classified by the ring setting that has its precious metal pushed up all around the stone so that only the top of the gemstone  may be seen.  The Primary disadvantage to this is that people feel that it obscures the gemstones  look or quality.  The bezel set can make the stone look darker  because no  light is allowed in through the sides or bottom.   However, this problem could lend itself to  an advantage where a less desirable lighter colored gemstone may produce optimum color by setting it within a bezel setting which produces an appearance of  greater color saturation for optimum beauty.

British crown jewels are an example of a bezel set

Bezel set engagement rings have always been popular although it has been used more in the past then in the present.  The choice of a bezel set is based more upon the characteristics of the overall design than anything else. You can bezel set any stone as well as half pearls which are commonly set within a bezel.
